Movies and television work at the speed of light and sound.
So how do we tell a story that sets a good pace and maintains its momentum?
In 2 short hours, we’ll discuss the crucial writing task of defining goals and obstacles. We will look at the difference between an obstacle and conflict and how one can generate tension while the other moves the story forward.
Using clips and script samples, we will learn to measure the strength of conflicts. Through this, you will also learn to identify the telltale signs of a flagging story and how to get back into the right groove.
Fair warning: you’ll develop a new appreciation for conflict that not everyone in your life will enjoy!
